2-Owner 1990 Chevrolet 454 SS: A True Sport Truck Survivor
This 1990 454 SS has been in storage for most of its life. Factory decals were removed; only aftermarket door badges reveal what the truck truly is. Crystal-clear marker and side marker lights are installed at the front, complementing the billet grille.
Engine is unmolested and rear end are all original and unmolested. Only a Cat-Back exhaust system was installed.
Small sport truck door mirrors replace the large factory mirrors. Center console has been replaced with a matching interior fabric jump seat / console combo and a center seat belt.
All other interior components, including the floor mats, are factory stock.
The rear of the truck sports an old-school roll pan and a lighted billet license plate frame.
Tailgate was modified with an inside release handle, and a Chevrolet bowtie light was grafted into the sheet metal where the release handle once resided.
A custom-built flush mount hard cover tops the bed. Bed rail stake pocket fillers complete the smooth look.
Taillights have had their white reverse lenses blacked out to match the body along with custom paint striping on the taillights.
Powertrain & Performance
Original 454 V8: The legendary big-block engine remains unmolested and factory-original.
Matching Drivetrain: The original transmission and rear end are intact and perform as they should.
Upgraded Sound: A premium Cat-Back exhaust system has been installed to give that 454 a deeper, throaty growl.
Exterior Enhancements
This SS features a sleek, "shaved" aesthetic for a cleaner profile:
Clean Look: Factory decals have been removed; subtle aftermarket door badges are the only hint at the power under the hood.
Front End: Equipped with a custom billet grille complemented by crystal-clear marker and side lights.
Streamlined Profile: Sleek "small sport" door mirrors replace the bulky factory units.
Custom Rear: Features an old-school roll pan, a lighted billet license plate frame, and custom-striped taillights with blacked-out reverse lenses.
Modified Tailgate: The handle has been relocated to the inside, replaced on the exterior by a custom-grafted, illuminated Chevrolet bowtie.
Bed Details: A custom-built, flush-mount hard tonneau cover and color-matched bed rail stake pocket fillers complete the smooth, seamless look.
Interior & Comfort
The cabin remains remarkably preserved with a few thoughtful functional upgrades:
Seating Upgrade: The factory center console was replaced with a period-correct fabric jump seat/console combo, including an integrated center seat belt for three-across seating.
OEM Integrity: All other interior components—including the original floor mats—remain in factory-stock condition.
