This Awesome A-Body is more than meets the eye! It is Mopar Magazines oct 2020 featured car, it is a beautiful and well thought out build making it a true Must See. This 65 Valiant will get your blood pumping as soon as you twist the key! The car is powered by a 360 V8 punched out to a 406 Stroker! This engine was built for street but still puts out nearly 500hp! 340 fully machined "j" Heads, tunnel ram intake and throwback Dual Holley 660 carbs with chromed veil stacks! Accel Super Coil with matching yellow plug wires, Moroso cool can to keep gas cooled off and prevent vapor locking if you are on extended trips around town or car cruises in heavy traffic. Aluminum Radiator with huge core (Painted Black to look stock) keeps this car cool even in stop and go city traffic. Automatic 904 transmission with manual valve body and stall converter with the B&M Quick Click auto shifter make this car very street-able but also very FUN to drive! 8-3/4" rear axle with 4.88 gears make cruising around town a blast.
Everywhere you look you will find era correct speed parts and goodies that were NOS and installed during the restoration. Examples are a Sun II chromed mechanical tach mounted atop the dash, Mr. Gasket "Giant Killer" traction bars that are huge. Era correct 14x6 Cragar wheels all the way around. The car has Double redline tires up front with 8x8.50x14" cheater slicks tucked perfectly into the factory rear wheel tubs, they give nice grip and obviously give an intimidating stance. The interior was restored using Legendary interior pieces that look simply perfect. Four point roll cage adds the era correct retro street car look and is also functional if you decide to get a little "daring". This car not only cosmetically lives up to its name "Temper Tantrum" it also performs like a true lightweight from the era as it can be driven like a street rod or you can break the tires loose and fill the street with a cloud of smoke billowing off the tires as the car sits still. This restoration was completed a few months prior to being featured in Mopar magazine in 2020. The previous owner for 30 years, always garage kept this one and it has been kept a rust free car! With original sheet metal and just one repaint 20 years ago that has been recently wet sanded and polished giving it an awesome vintage look with minor wear for a street car look but still has a nice shine. The Chrome is stunning, Undercarriage was blasted and painted so you can now eat off of it, the drivetrain was removed, engine bay cleaned up and and the new powerhouse was installed. If you are looking for a Done, Complete car that truly demands attention everywhere it goes... THIS is the car for you! Mopars are collectible, and this one does not need anything!
NOTES: This car is street-able but is also capable of 11 second 1/4 mile passes if you desire. The car Has not been on the track but these calculations do come from the mouth of the engine builder.
One Last NOTE: If you don't like attention everywhere you go, or if you don't enjoy raw naturally aspirated Mopar power as well as the sound and feel of a true American Muscle car, than this is not the car for you...
