1989 Pontiac Sunbird GT Convertible Vehicle Description

This 1989 Pontiac Sunbird GT Turbo convertible was initially sold in Indiana and spent time in Arkansas before relocating to our dealership for car shows and display next to other vehicles produced at the Lordstown assembly plant. It is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four paired with a three-speed automatic transaxle and is finished in white over tan cloth upholstery. Equipment includes a tan convertible top, front disc brakes, 14? wheels, pop-up headlights, body-color fender flares, air conditioning, power windows, and a cassette stereo. This Sunbird shows 71k miles on the odometer and has an actual mileage title.

The car is finished in white with a tan convertible top. Exterior details include a front chin spoiler, fog lights, pop-up headlights, hood louvers, and color-matched front and rear fender flares.

Black-finished 14? wheels with machined faces and lips are mounted with Mastercraft Strategy tires. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums.

The bolstered front bucket seats and rear bench are upholstered in tan cloth that extends to the door panels. Appointments include air conditioning, power windows and locks, and a cassette stereo.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer with an inset boost gauge as well as supplementary gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and voltage. The six-digit odometer shows 71k miles, approximately 80 of which were added under current ownership. The horn was repaired in 2024 and new tires in 2025.

The turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four was factory rated at 163 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque and features a cast-iron cylinder block, an aluminum cylinder head, a Garrett T25 turbocharger, and a red-finished boost pipe, intake manifold, and valve cover.

Power is sent to the front wheels through a three-speed automatic transaxle. Additional underside images are presented in the gallery.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage
